National Temperature Control Day
Tomorrow is the fall equinox – and it’s also National Temperature Control Day. A day to celebrate the coming of cooler weather and our HVAC systems. In Texas, we need to be very thankful we have efficient, reliable air conditioning and heating. And part of that system is using thermostats to maintain a comfortable home. In celebration of National Temperature Day, National Today tells us all about the day.

Surprise! Despite what various holiday weekend sales events would have you believe, summer does not begin on Memorial Day — nor does it end on Labor Day.
One thing’s for sure though — as summer turns to fall, things will get a little “chill,” and not just in a millennial kind of way. That’s why we celebrate National Temperature Control Day on September 22 — the Northern Hemisphere’s fall equinox — otherwise known as the first “official” day of autumn 2019.
