For most of us, our dogs are part of the family. Planning to attend holiday events doesn’t always mean our furry friends have to be left at home. For this year’s Easter events, Bring Fido has a couple of events for our beloved canines, too.

GRRNT Easter Egg Hunt

Hop on over to NorthBark Dog Park in Dallas for the annual GRRNT (Golden Retriever Rescue Of North Texas) Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 24, from 1-3 p.m. This egg-stravaganza is tons of fun for the whole family, including those with fur. Admission is $10 per dog and all proceeds go toward GRRNT rescue efforts.

All breeds are welcome as long as they are friendly and well-behaved.

Rain date: Saturday, March 31, 1-3 p.m.

Easter in the Park – The Conservancy Pooch Parade 2018

Mark your calendars for Easter in the Park – The Conservancy Pooch Parade 2018! This dog friendly event will be held from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on April 1, 2018 at Oak Lawn Park – The Conservancy in Dallas, TX, US. Admission is $10 in advance per costume entry and day-of registration is $15.

Bring Fido to this annual event hosted by The Conservancy and the City of Dallas and enjoy an afternoon of festivities, including The Conservancy Pooch Parade, live music by DJ Jennifer Miller, an Easter Egg Hunt, a special appearance from the Easter Bunny and a variety of food trucks. A portion of sales from the food trucks will be donated to The Conservancy so be sure to come hungry!

At 2 p.m., the Conservancy Pooch Parade will meander down Turtle Creek Boulevard with winners selected by a panel of local celebrity judges. Lee Anne Locken and Steve Kemble will return as celebrity emcees of the Pooch Parade. Prizes will be awarded to the winning dog(s) for different categories.

Well-behaved, leashed pets are welcome. Non-profit animal rescue organizations including: Dallas Animal Services and SPCA will be on-site with adoptable pets. Dallas Pets Alive and Recycled Pomeranians & Schipperkes Rescue will also have adoptable dogs to meet, but applications are required for adoption.
